Sutton was still fast asleep when my alarm went off, and I cleaned up as quickly and quietly as I could. As much as I wanted to linger in bed with her all day, it was a game day. I had a morning skate in an hour, and then I’d need to rest before the game tonight. I was playing if Coach kept to the alternating schedule, so I needed to be alert and focused.

“Leaving?” she murmured when I came out of the bathroom.

“Have a morning skate.”

“I have to go in to work too.”

“You wanna come to the game tonight?” She looked so sexy lying there, I crawled onto the bed and wrapped my arms around her.

“Mm.” She nestled against my chest. “Yes.”

“I know you have your employee pass but let me get you a ticket so you can sit with the wives and girlfriends.”

“Okay.” She kissed my chest. “I wish you didn’t have to leave.”

“Me too.” I kissed her lips. “I can come back tonight if you want. We leave on Sunday for a road trip, and I want to spend as much time as possible with you.”

“Yes. Tonight. Tomorrow. Whenever you want.”

I kissed her soundly, this time with tongue, making sure she knew just how much I would have liked to stay. When she was breathing hard, and I felt her nipples poking against me, I pulled away.

“That’s going to have to last you until tonight,” I said.

She giggled. “You have work to do. You only made me come six times.”

“Because you fell asleep.”

She pretended to yawn. “I guess you bored me.”

“You’re lucky I have to leave,” I said, laughing.

“I know, I know. I need a spanking.”

“I want to wait until your groin is healed,” I admitted. “It makes me nervous because you do a lot of wiggling when I spank you, and I don’t want you to make it worse or, frankly, for it to be the kind of painful that isn’t fun.”

She nodded. “Thank you. That’s sweet.”

I kissed her again because I couldn’t seem to help myself, but then firmly pulled away. “Babe, I have to go.”

“Go. I’ll see you tonight.”

“Check in with Dane Nicholls when you get there. He’ll have your ticket. If you need anything, just text me. I’ll have my phone on up until the warm-up.”

“Okay.”

I got off the bed and glanced back at her. “Last night was amazing, Sutton.”

“It was.” She pushed the sheet down, revealing her beautifully naked body. “For you to think about until tonight.”

My dick jumped to attention, and I knew I had to get out of here.

Coach would have my ass if I was late.

“See you later,” I whispered, laughing as I practically ran for the door.
